With the release of Visual Studio 2005, six new MSDN Premium subscriptions have been introduced for Visual Studio 2005: one for the Visual Studio 2005 Team Suite, one for each of the Visual Studio 2005 Team Editions for Software Developers, Architects, Testers, and Database Professionals and one for Visual Studio 2005 Professional. Each of these new MSDN Premium subscriptions for Visual Studio 2005 includes the latest development tools and technologies and continuous, priority access to product updates and new releases.
MSDN Universal and MSDN Enterprise are no longer available. The MSDN Professional subscription will continue to be offered but is renamed as Visual Studio Professional Edition with MSDN Professional. The MSDN Operating Systems and MSDN Library subscriptions remain unchanged. You can also purchase Visual Studio 2005 Professional without an MSDN subscription, as well as Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition, and Visual Studio Tools for Office. |

MSDN Licensing
All MSDN Licensing is User based, not Machine based, so legally you must have one MSDN license for every developer that uses MSDN products for design, development, test and/or demonstration purposes. You may not split the components to separate users, but the single developer can install the software on multiple machines for his/her own use. MSDN products are not generally licensed for use in a live production/deployment environment.
Please contact us to discuss your Visual Studio licensing requirements, and we will take you through all the options available to you.
